Are you looking for a perfect Piedmont P.G.I. roasted hazelnut to be consumed alone or to use as an ingredient in your culinary preparations?

Try the one from Squirrel Red! We cultivate it, shell and toast it on our farm with organic processing. Our hazelnut groves are located in Carrù (CN), also called “the gateway to the Langhe”.

All hazelnuts are grown according to our philosophy of sustainability and respect for the environment and then selected by hand before packaging. For over three generations we have dedicated ourselves to hazelnut growing every day.

Our shelled and roasted P.G.I. Piedmont hazelnuts are the result of our commitment, year after year, to taking care of the round and gentle Langhe hazelnuts, to give our customers a natural, genuine, artisanal product.

The vacuum packs, to preserve their freshness, start from 250g, up to 5kg bags.

Excellent product also for the creation of gastronomic favors for baptisms, communions, confirmations, weddings or graduations

Piedmont P.G.I. roasted hazelnuts | Scoiattolo Rosso

Piedmont P.G.I. roasted hazelnuts shelled and roasted in the oven, keeping the very fine skin intact (called perisperm), which covers and protects the fruit during exposure to high temperatures.

Only once cooled, after roasting, the hazelnut is placed in the peeler which gently removes about 80% of the perisperm.

At this point, we start the selection by hand, before sealing it in vacuum packs, which keep the fragrance, from 250g to 5kg.

On request, for professional pastry making, we can make different degrees of toasting, for minimum purchases of 30 kg.

We also make available a second choice P.G.I. Piedmont hazelnut in 5 kg packs (not well peeled, broken or smaller) with a 20% discount on the list price.
