We produce our dark multiflowers honey in the summer, in an area between the Piedmontese Langhe and the Maritime Alps, in the municipalities of Roddino, Bossolasco and Cissone (CN). Thanks to this environment, it best expresses all its organoleptic characteristics: the aromas, the colour, the density and the intense and decisive flavour.
Why is it dark? We do not use additives or particular manufacturing processes. The bees simply choose which flowers to extract the nectar from. In the area where the apiaries are located there are cherry and dandelion plants, responsible for the colouring.
For us, this means protecting biodiversity and respecting sustainability: we are the ones who have to follow the rules of nature, not vice versa.

Multiflowers honey, as the name suggests, is produced with different varieties of flowers. It is one of a kind, despite being the most widespread and well-known of Italian natural honeys.
Having in itself the properties of various plants, its organoleptic characteristics, such as aromas and flavors, are different according to the collection area.
For example, a high mountain honey, where the alpine flora is predominant, may have hints of rhododendron; in Mediterranean areas, on the other hand, it can recall the scent of the thistle.
There are essentially two varieties: the clear and transparent one, more delicate and sweet, with a less intense flavor, or the dark or amber wildflower honey, which has a more decisive flavor and recalls honeydew. The Scoiattolo Rosso beekeeping produces this second variety.
In general, the active ingredients of wildflower honey are greater than other honeys, as it is rich in pollen from different sources. In fact, it contains many minerals and antioxidants.
For this reason it is excellent for children and for all those who need to regain energy or purify the body, thanks to its stimulating and regulating function.
Adjuvant in flu states, wildflower honey is an excellent aid against cough, thanks to its antibacterial function.
